An HP India study reveals that over 50% of Indian players want to pursue careers in gaming.

The business has launched the HP Gaming Garage, a free professional credential programme available online that focuses on game development and esports management.

According to the HP India Gaming Landscape Study 2023, player wages this year have gradually improved compared to 2022, 

meaning that as many as 52% of Indian gamers now view gaming as a realistic career option.

In 2023, almost 40% of serious gamers reported making between Rs 600,000 and Rs 1,200,000 annually. 

According to the research, sponsorships and e-sports competitions have become important sources of revenue. 

"We think that young people in India have the ability to succeed not just in the international e-sports arena but also in the business world. 

To support them and encourage aspiring gamers, we at HP are launching programmes like HP Gaming Garage," said Vickram Bedi, Senior Director, Personal Systems, HP India market.

The company has launched a free professional certificate programme on online gaming creation and esports management called HP Gaming Garage.
